Cottages from the past.

This is the end cottage in a row of 4, in Cambridge Road, Impington. The rest of the row is obscured by foliage. Built in early 1800's as near as I could find out, although there has been a settlement there since 991. I was particularly struck by the thatching pattern on the rooftop, and also the birds, which were a permanent fixture. When I first saw them I expected them to fly away, until I had a closer look. The cottage was a lovely pale blue, but the sky was grey.
