Testing the water ....

...... before heading off for a swim across the loch. The loch was very quiet this morning so this cute coot had plenty of water to himself. There were a few Greylag and Canada geese, one or two mallards but no gulls. Perhaps if I had had some breadcrumbs with me the birds would have appeared as if by magic.
