Getting the sparkle back

Rhododendron roxieanum

Or so the plant label says, anyway. I visited Dawyck Botanical Garden in the Scottish Borders with my friend G who I hadn't seen for far longer than I ought to have. We did enjoy the rhoddies which were the main attraction in the garden today. Apparently there are over 100 species of rhododendron at Dawyck out of the 650 species in the collected Botanical Gardens (Edinburgh, Dawyck, Benmore and Logan) and the gardens have over 10,000 specimens altogether. Quite impressive, I thought!
