Day out

We've had a treck out today. Our relation from Australia and I have been to pay respects to those no longer with us. It wasn't the best of days and most was done in the rain but it didn't matter.

We visited 3 different sites. Our visits took us to Addingham church. Certain the resting place was ' just round here on the left'! Although it wasn't clear to see when we got there! We looked at nearly every headstone in the churchyard before we found it. Guess where it was? "Just round here on the left"!

We had a look in the church which was a lovely little church. We found on the wall a list of all the vicars since 1272 and the first vicar was Eustace De Trewick and he was vicar for 20 years. This means the church is nearly a thousand years old! Not that I could work that out! You can see the reflection of the lovely stained glass windows

We had a leisurely ride back to the coast, and reflected on a nice day out.
