Slug.

Finished at noon today but decided to skip the BBQ as it was throwing it down.

I try to mark the end of term by doing something pleasant or worthwhile in the afternoon. Today that meant having ax wander around Heatley Flash to see whether any fish wee topping.

The incessant rain has meant that the vegetation has grown very dense in places making it difficult to gain access to the water's edge. The other obvious beneficiaries have been the slugs of which this is one of about a million that were steadily munching through the reeds.
