Before!

I decided to choose today to post the "before" picture of the house prior to building work beginning next week. This is the back of house. The bay window will be replaced with an new window of clear glass and black aluminium frames (like the patio doors you can see) and a wee tiled roof will be put on it. The white conservatory will be dismantled and replaced with a garden room, 2 metres longer than the conservatory and with a lantern roof. There will be bi-fold doors coming out into the patio area. We are gradually doing all the windows and replacing with black frames which need no maintenance (hurrah!) we want to get rid of the small panes too to give us a clear view into the garden. The house is fairly modern being built in the 60's so although the panes are cute I don't feel compelled to keep them.

Then the extra photo shows the annex and all that is happening there is that the lean-to on the side will be removed and replaced with a patio. We may put a conservatory there in the future, not sure.
