A Nest Left Unattended .

Today I watched in amazement as Mrs Richard stood up , made some attempt at covering her eggs then went off for a swim . After having words with her RichardIII  joined her and to be fair he made a better job at keeping watch .They need to as crows and magpies are already showing an interest.. Then both flew , she back to the nest and he to fend off the swans who were getting too close ...Here is the nest One egg is visible. No idea how many are under the down .This is a pair who will need a lot of luck .
