Male Downy Woodpecker ....

It has been a very busy week as we prepare for an upcoming vacation in Cape Cod ... my apologies for my lack of commenting, etc.  And for getting so behind in my journal. 

As I returned from breakfast with our house/pet sitter I saw this beautiful male Downy woodpecker on our neighbors feeder. 

Lucky for me I had my camera with me ... always!
