Feathery Triptych

The bird I find hardest to photograph is the hedge sparrow (dunnock) for two reasons: 1. he's never still for more than a second, and 2. he blends into the background and loses definition. Today I caught him standing on a pile of red roof tiles that set him off a treat. So he takes centre stage in my feathery triptych, flanked by the great tit (star of yesterblip*) and chaffinch.

*This might or might not be true as there were no fewer than three male chaffinches in the garden at the same time. So I can't be sure it's the same one.
