Starlings on the bird feeders

We have a lot of starlings around here as there are extensive reedbeds a few miles away where thousands roost in the wintertime, including many who come from colder countries to the north. They disperse during the day and form great "murmurations" when they return to the reedbeds at dusk. I haven't managed any photos this year of a murmuration, but here are two of them at work on seeds and peanuts really meant for smaller birds in our garden!
