Iridescent Tomorrows

Spring's true bounty isn't beauty or food or even an end to the cold, but the promise of new generations as seeds sprout, grow into plants, and reproduce themselves sometimes ten- or hundred-thousandfold.  The seeds of another unidentified plant wither inside their protective coats, preparing to weather a blistering and desiccating summer.  But even these tiny, black, wrinkled husks manage to flash bits of beautiful color back into the lens.
