Ashton Memorial, Williamson's Park, Lancaster

Back in my home town this weekend visiting my mum who badly needs cheering up and feeding up after a bad bout of flu.
She was determined to go get her hair done to try and make herself feel better soon, so, while she was at the hairdressers, we took ourselves up the road to Williamson's Park which is the site of the Ashton Memorial which is a folly built by Lord Aston in memory of his late wife.
I've been visiting this park all of my life and it is always a joy.
Took mum out for a short ride after her hair do. She's trying so hard to buck up. We'll see how she fares tomorrow.
