Proper drama in the centre of town today with a full scale response to a fire in Thomas Cook.-

Cook, Fire, Irony?!

The subsequent evacuation left streets shut and traffic diverted - re-rerouted - already having to deal with traffic flow from the TramWerks I'm sure there were a number of frustrated and confusing commutes home!

This is the view up Hanover Street around 6pm once things had calmed down - it hints at the severity but you can't see all the other vehicles and equipment that were brought in to deal with the emergency.
