Red-wattled Lapwing (Vanellus indicus)

The Red-wattled Lapwings have paired up and some have eggs and some now even have little chicks. I have not managed to photograph a little chick so far as the parents are very protective and make such a noise and try and dive bomb you, so as I don't want to upset them I try and avoid their nests, which are just a scrape on the mud or sand. Because there are nests near the Kingfishers perches I try not to disturb the Lapwings as they then upset the Kingfisher! If I keep very quiet and don't move much the Lapwings are ok with me and don't continually screech out 'Did you do it-did you do it' which rather ruins the calm, relaxing bird watching experience!
