T-264

This is the Prins Bernhard of the Royal Netherlands Air Force departing Prestwick today.  A McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30CF fitted as an Air to Air refuelling tanker.  The plane is 37 years old and flew for a number of commercial airlines until 1995 when she was converted to the Air Tanker role.

Unfortunately the image quality is not that great due to the fact that the sky was a dull grey and the rain was pouring down.  If you look at the rear of the aircraft you can see the refuelling boom in its stowed position along with guide markings on the belly of the aircraft to assist pilots coming in for fuel.
