...tight corset

Today is Moor Trees day.  We have been removing the protective cylindrical guards from around the trees.  If the tree gets too big for the guard it will split the guard along the perforation as you can see in the main picture.  Rather like bursting out of a tight corset!  It is preferable though that we remove them before that happens.

It was great seeing this maturing native broadleafed woodland - one we planted about 10 years ago.  Wonderful seeing the developing ecology!  Makes it all worthwhile.  The extra is of part of the woodland. www.moortrees.org
