Killdeer

Last day of our Blipmeet :(  This Killdeer made her nest on the rocky road at Sweetwater Wetlands Park.. Another was nesting a bit further down the road. The rangers roped off the areas and asked us to quietly take our photos and move on as quickly as possible. My 'Extras' today are...a close-up shot of momma Killdeer, a male Boat-tailed Grackle with what's left of an Apple Snail and lastly, an Apple Snail shell. Apple Snails are a very important and large part of the diets of many of the Wetland's bird population. Final Extra is a Selfie taken at the Butterfly Rainforest today.
And a Wonderful Blipmeet it was too! Wishing you all a Peaceful Week! :)
