The last joint in Waterloo

Ethel's is arguably the last real joint in Waterloo, ON where you can get a beer without feeling like you've been processed through some MBA-analyzed, focus-group-vetted, sausage maker of a generic pre-fab bar. I've always loved the neon sign out front, and legend has it that this sign was recovered through some creative means from a closed venue in Detroit and relocated to Waterloo where it serves as a beacon for those of us yearning for something authentic.
