An Unkindness of Ravens

By Nevermore

Tears of a cow....

I spent a pleasant half an hour conversing with the cows at the end of my street today. They are Lowline cattle (according to their ear tags, which makes it a lot easier to identity them) (NOT lowlife, as the ridiculous auto corrector suggests!).

The bull is very friendly, and we had a good old chat. The cows are quite inquisitive and come up to the fence, but not as readily as the bull. The calves are still quite shy of people and stay by their mother's sides.

This is one of the cows, with a little tear (or maybe an eye irritation).

These cows are quite hard to photograph - they are very black and if the sun is out, the hay is very bright and the photograph tends to over expose on any setting but manual, and I have had to take the photos outside of the suggested parameters.

I think it's better bigger!
