Dirk

I've just started a little side project on a guy called Dirk Claessen who makes these wonderfully intricate smoking pipes. These are not any old tobacco pipes but works of art that are carefully sculpted by hand and lathe from raw chunks of Italian wood. I'm hoping to photograph the whole process from bare wood to finished pipe. This image shows a selection of his pipes that are for personal use.
