Irresistible

A super spring day, warm after the early frost had gone.  New flowers and butterflies including the annual sighting of a Brimstone - why do they never settle?  I even managed to photograph a fly in flight (see extra).   I still find the pulsatillas irresistible though, their downy hairs so soft.

Also planted Broad Bean plants out on the allotment and we have booked a very special family holiday - after much research!!  The girls have wanted to stay at a Calvert Trust centre and take part in the many outdoor activities that are organised for their disabled visitors and their familes.  As Amy has a two-week half term and Ruth is still awaiting education provision we have managed to sneak a late booking for the first week, before the busy bank Holiday week.
