All Things Shakespeare

B and I enjoyed a fab day in Stratford Upon Avon today.  Saturday 24th April is the 400th Anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, so we had a 'cultural' day, visiting the house of his birth.  The weather was glorious and the sun streaming through the window beautifully highlighted this rather splendid bust of the man himself.
After a sandwich next to a bubbling brook bordered by a pretty meadow of spring flowers, bluebells, wood anemones and fritillaries, we then visited Anne Hathaway's cottage, where the young William courted his wife to be, she was also a mother to be, being 3 months pregnant when they married.  William was only 18 and Anne 26 years old.
