Postcard from the edge......

........of the dome of St. Peter's. Just to prove I was there, having climbed five hundred plus steps, I am third from the left with the blue hair and you can see the photo I took in the extras.
Today was Vatican day and we arrived at the Vatican Museum at 8.30 to a queue that stretched at least half a mile. We had previously booked our tickets on the Internet so could go straight in and headed immediately for an almost empty Sistine Chapel. In the other extra you can see the corridor where there is the actual set of lightweight aluminium scaffolding that Michaengelo used five hundred years ago to reach the Sistine ceiling. Well, I think it was probably that set!.
