French Odessey

Yet again, I'm not sure this fits the bill but thanks to youoregon1 and the abstract Thursday challenge I was looking for a 'Tricolor' theme and have gone for a French take on it, inspired by my husbands' visual 'scrapbook' of our extended French adventures when we realised we didn't have much time left. The Tricolore (thanks for the proper spelling, Veronica!)  is made from painted sections of some very nice French wines. There are various other odds and sods but the ones I love are the stones. He had the idea of finding a stone from each of the farms/vineyards we stayed on in our vw camper and drawing a small reminder and dating each one. I love it.

The extra is from this evening's cycle ride. The lamb union were breaking up from their collective bargaining meeting, the majority having dispensed with their pac a macs and negotiating for gortex next year ... so much more breathable. As you can see, however, there was one blackleg.

Off to the wild west tomorrow ...
