Red-wattled Lapwing Chick (Vanellus indicus)

How cute is this little Red-wattled Lapwing chick? I had to sit motionless for some while to get this little one to come out into the open, the parent was very good and did not do any alarm calling, although she fixed her red beady eye on me. I saw these little Lapwing chicks last year at the Wadi so felt very happy I have now seen at least two of this years little birds. The extra is another photograph of the same chick. Simply superb camoflage and how different from my show off Kingfisher! Glad you like her as much as I do! But this little chick is super sweet.
