Everyone's in a Hurry...

...to leave Macerata? I am not one to easily pass judgements on places, and always like to seek out the seedier side of towns and cities. However, my first impressions of Macerata yesterday were definitely not good. To say that the place had a grubby air about it would be an understatement, and that this was accompanied by seeing four rats cross the road in front of me was just the last nail in the coffin of Macerata. The rats were not just any old rats, they were black rats - not nice for a place that is most definitely not a third world country. As for the Hotel Claudiani, well, the less said about that the better, I'll keep those thoughts for the TripAdvisor review...
