La vida de Annie

By Annie

Esta playa es el mío

This beach is mine.
Buster firmly believes this to be true. He found several proto-tourists to tell off, and when they made a fuss of him and then went on their way, he settled down and actually let many pass without comment. This all changed when an approaching women with a small boy started fussing and flapping at him, causing the boy to become afraid and start screaming. Still mellow from the previous kind attentions, Buster trotted over to them to see what was wrong and to cheer them up. At this, the child's screams took on brain-rattling proportions (I know, because mine did), so what could he do but give them a good barking at for disturbing the peace of his beach? On this occasion I picked him up but did not chastise him. Why do parents not teach their kids how to approach or simply ignore animals? If the boy always does that, he could be in danger of a bite from a fearful or confused dog.
