In the trenches

Went for a run this morning and stopped halfway round to talk photography a bit of a bugger having two passions. After breakfast Marie and I went out to Rangitata Island Aerodrome to look at the remember the ANZAC's display which included Traction engines, Vintage Cars, WWII Vehicles, A perfectly running Bren Carrier and a Trench war reenactment with Pyrotechnics, Volunteers dressed in old Uniforms, NZ, Aus, Turks and German. This was taken in the trench and there were some young boys dressed up in uniforms. I made an Old Lady laugh when I made the comment they went from the chimneys to the trenches. One of the Older Actors  said his birth Certificate said he was born in 1900 which would make him 16, I said yes he is short for his age. It was a great display. Monday we will Remember our Servicemen and Women who have Served and Died in conflicts from the Great War, WWII, modern warfare including Malaya, Vietnam and the latest Afghanistan and Iraq.
