Great Wall

Richard and Jenny took us to Jinshanling to walk a section of the Great Wall.  It is 130 km from Beijing and not the closest bit of wall but is much quieter than the regular tourist spots and truly spectacular.  The light was really harsh for photography and it was hard to choose a blip. I chose this one as it showed the scale of it.

We had already walked quite a way before I took this shot and we  continued to the last tower you can see before the ridge.  Bits were incredibly steep and it was quite a walk.  Next weekend the Great Wall Marathon takes place along this section - beggars belief!

This really needs to be viewed large

PS if you don't look at any other Blips today, please look at Richards

PPS According to Richard we actually went to the third tower along the ridge before we descended.
