Stirling Jail

Here's an odd fact: a sparrow tattooed on the body is a symbol that you once did time in jail.

I learnt this from Freedom Versions a 110-metre mural painted by a group of artists in the yard of Stirling jail.

Its been produced under the auspices of the newly launched Creative Stirling.org, a new arts organisation to facilitate participation in the arts in central Scotland.

The centaurs are by Kirsty Whiten and inspired by First World War archive images from Stirling's Argyll and Sutherland Highlander's Regiment.
