Giving this a go...

Torch relay

I escaped work early today during the goodbye speeches for the leaving staff so that we could nip up to Godalming to see the torch relay. We'd planned to go to Guildford until I heard that Roger Black would be in Godalming so we went there instead. "Whooo?" said Cameron when I told him why we'd changed the plan.

Got a good spot on the High Street and the boys were very good at sitting for ages until the torch procession came along. We saw Roger but he was on a bus going up to his handover point so didn't see him run with with it.
This is what BBC said about the man we saw with the torch (he passed it on to Roger): Here we have Daniel Eley who had been working with street children in South America for three years when he broke his neck diving into a river.

His insurance did not cover his medical bills and he was kept in a Columbian hospital until an internet campaign raised sufficient funds to bring him home. He had to undergo intensive rehabilitation and still needs regular medical attention.

The 34-year-old has since set up The Dan Eley Foundation for disadvantaged children and teenagers from marginalised communities in Colombia.

I didn't get a good shot of him so here's the boys with their torch instead.

Have been trying to comment on photos but it's been sooooo slow on here in the past few days.
