Tibetan Mandala

This vibrant design has been built up from carefully placed grains of coloured sand, taking several days for Tibetan monks to create. Once complete they hold a 'dissolution' ceremony in which it is destroyed, as a reminder that it is pointless to hold on to material things - the concept of non-attachment.
