St Georges Charity Ball

I had the nicest, relaxing day of not working so spent some time pampering myself ready for a Charity Ball tonight. I did my nails, fake tanned (and ran out half way across my body!!) got my dress ready (split a few stitches!) , did my time sheets, played a bit of Candy Crush, ate biscuits and drank coffee - all while poor Mr W was at work!!! (but nice a quiet for me!!)

Then it was time for the Ball. I allowed myself an hour and a half to get ready which was about right. With 10 minutes left before we had to leave, I went to see where Mr W was........he was on Candy Crush!!! Un-showered, un-shaved, un-shirt pressed! But it is amazing just how quickly he can get ready compared to me!!!

We had a great evening. The Annual Ball was organised by my Beautiful Friends Mandi's dad in aid of the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. Its a specialist burns hospital. He goes along every year to see what specialist piece of equipment can be purchased rather than put it all in the hospital pot. He's a great man!

The theme was St Georges day so we were supposed to wear something red. I didnt want the expense of a new dress so I wore my beautiful Heart pendant Mr W bought for me on our Wedding day. Mr W wore red socks!!!!

I was the nominated driver so wasnt drinking. Mr W had my share!!!

It was a great night with a raffle (I donated the cushions and wine the rubbish carpenter gave us for Christmas!) and an Auction and over £4000 was raised which was a fabulous amount. One of the Auction items was a cricket bad signed by the cricketer that was recently killed by a blow to the head from a cricket ball. Sadly it only reached £70 which was surprising - and sad.

Iv added a few extras but they are a bit rubbish as my phone isnt great at Selfies!!

Cor....Im tired today!
