Pump maintenance training day

This group of ladies come from an area with 54 pumps. They travelled up to
30 Km on foot (in the rain) to get some more training on how to manage the few problems which affect the pumps from time to time. Women get initial training when the pump is installed, so you could call this a refresher course.
I now feel that this day might happen pre-installation in future.
The pump design makes it very suitable for maintenance by village women, or even men if they were ever to go to fetch water. This is the work of women and girls where we work in Northern Malawi, lest I be accused of generalising, it's just a fact of life.
The training went well and Harisen brought them all about half the way home, while collecting pigs for the Lusangazi farm!!
