A Promising Trio

These tulips live in a raised border on the edge of my patio. I didn't plant them - they were inherited when I bought the house over 22 years ago, and have bloomed reliably every year. Last week there only presence was green spears, but suddenly they seemed to have suddenly shot up and the buds have bulged with a promise of some wonderful blooms to come.
