Paisley Patterns

I was over in the west today, dropping off some banners for work at Dykebar Hospital in Paisley, which gave me the opportunity to get some steppage in the beautiful historic town. The view here is the abbey (a former Cluniac monastery) which was rebuilt in the 14th century, having been sacked and burnt down by Edward the First in 1307.

Paisley is also known for its industrial history, particularly, the Paisley pattern and shawls, which became iconic around the world.

Alas, like other industrial towns, it has suffered a decline, however, here's hoping that its bid to become the UK's City of Culture in 2021 is successful, as it has so much to offer.

The 'buddies' are also friendly too.
