Following St Cuthbert

After one of MrM's big Sunday breakfasts, we walked from the bottom of the Common for a change. Went up over the heath to follow a very short part of St Cuthbert's Way through the woods and down to the other end of the Common. Lots of beautiful, deep yellow gorse in flower and it was just about warm enough to catch the occasional whiff of its lovely coconut-y scent.

A much more productive day than yesterday! Spent several hours in the courtyard and well as sorting out a few things in the flat.

Another walk late on in the afternoon, round one of the lakes at Powburn. Then MrM drove us back via the Ingram Valley - a very long way round - with some fabulous view of the hills. As I blip he's cooking us a very late meal...
