Seaweed weather forecaster!

Much to the amusement and scepticism of one of my grandchildren the seaweed I collected from the beach and hung up in the garden gave an accurate forecast today! It was blooming cold, dingy, no sun, occasionally wet, unseasonable, threatening winter showers, definitely NOT gardening weather, in fact awful!
