Lovely Autumn Day

Daughter 'flying' and I visited R today, we found him to be bright and pleased to see us, he engaged in good conversation although slow to get his words out. 

After our visit we found a nice café for lunch and then carried on with our usual grocery shop.

It was lovely to walk alongside the Kaiapoi Lakes with the sun warming my back, watching ducks preening and flapping while a little shag sat on a post on lookout duty.

It's good to be back but perhaps only for today, time will tell.

All in all.....a lovely autumn day.
