Torre de Belem - Lisbon

A very touristy day today. Packed like sardines on on a tram trip to Belem and then queuing for 20 minutes to half an hour in order to get into the cloisters of the Monasteiro dos Jeronimos. However, the wait was worth while and once in it was not at all crowded. The Manueline architecture is very ornate but impressive and this style of architecture was also very much a feature of our second stop - the Torre de Belem and as there was a nice cloudy sky I have made this the subject of my blip.

By the time we had toured the Barardo Modern Art Collection we were dropping and hoping that the journey home would not be too taxing.
