Capturing my Journey

By thedoglady

Spring? Nope..

Not impressed it was raining to start with and by the time I had finished feeding and was walking the dogs we were in full on big snowflakes blizzard mode. I proceeded to fret all morning about the poor lambs out in this weather and seeing ewes and lambs coming into the yard for shelter. Earlier than normal I popped out to the lambing field in case anyone was thinking about lambing in this. Thankfully they all held on and by 2pm it stopped and now at 6pm it is rapidly melting. Travel chaos on the Island as the council hire in gritters and snowploughs and low and behold they have all been sent away as you know we clearly don't need them!!! Having known about this forecast it seems a huge oversight. So there was a coop lorry off, bus and cars. Two roads were shut at one point. And amidst all this I have a delivery of another dog to dog sit for a few days. Up to 11 dogs now, although Mij should be being collected tomorrow.

2c 8mph N -1c windchill snow am clear by 2pm with glimpses of sun in the quick melt.

Extra is the lambing ewes and younger lambs this morning looking to me for more feed.
