Winter is coming

9.00am: 5 deg, glorious sunshine and blue sky was we walked by the River Witham in Woodall Spa before saying goodbye to MrM's dad and heading for home.
Lunchtime: 2 deg, hail showers on the M62, just before we called in at a music shop in Cleckheaton to pick up some mandolins.
2.30pm: 1 deg, soaked in Pately Bridge as we wandered round for a short time in heavy rain, then sleet.
3.15pm: -1 deg, heavy snow beginning to lay, as we passed over the Yorkshire Dales. Glad I wasn't driving through this!
3.45: 1 deg and sleeting heavily as we got out of the car in Masham for refreshments at Johnny Baghdad's cafe. Had the most fabulous fruit (cherry and sultana) scone and coffee. MrM opted for toasted teacake followed by lemon drizzle cake(!).
7.45pm: 5deg and blue sky and sunshine on Wooler Common.
