Flypast At the Watt

After the last lunchtime music hour of the season ( a fascinating talk by conductor Richard Egarr) and out for a walk around the campus, we were captivated by the newly arrived swallows and martins skimming over the surface of the loch, dipping into the water. We watched for several minutes as they swept past, their reflection as clear as the birds themselves.

Eventually I remembered to use the burst setting on the camera but even at 10 frames/second couldn't catch the perfect shot. This and the extra detail are cropped.
