Mount Shibaoshan

aka Stone Treasure Mountain.   

We drove here on our way to Shaxi and had a fantastic walk with amazing views.  It was very hilly and we felt the 2600 metre altitude.

Shaxi is delightful, if a little touristy.  Our quaint hotel is right on the village square we are now headed for a cup of coffee (or a beer!).

This region is not on the main UK tourist route although we met some English people last night in our hotel.  It's a fantastic area and we are so glad we came here as it gives us a real taste for rural China.
