Flower Friday 29 Tulips and Violet

 Today's offering for Biker Bear's  popular Friday challenge, isn't playing  strictly by the rules, but the subjects are floral, by name at least!

Violet now spends Fridays with me and we are establishing our routine whereby she 'helps' me with some tidying chores, has a decent nap, then after lunch we go out to her  Sing and Sign session.
When she first arrived this morning, Violet was beautifully dressed in a pretty skirt and collar ensemble.  By the time we had returned from S&S, her clothing was rather the worse for wear (largely due to my allowing her a chocolate biscuit at the end of the session - mistake!) and so she had to have a change of clothes.  Sadly I didn't manage to get the camera out until then, so the skirt will have to wait for another day!

Those who follow my journals will know that hypermobility has delayed Violet's  walking, but now those muscles are gaining enough strength to allow her to pull up, stand and begin to walk - yay!  This little girl, spent every available moment today practicing and practicing... her pleasure in her new found skills- and her delight when she sees how pleased we are too - is just wonderful to see.
I imagine that she slept very well tonight after all that exercise!

The other flowers are, of course, the stylised embroidered tulips on my Laura Ashley cushions!
