Diverted Trains

Two trains subject to diversions at Glasgow Central.

One the left on platform 2 is Pendolino 390 009 (in reverse formation) forming the 1628 service to Carlisle, diverted via the east side of the Cathcart Circle avoiding track works at Cambuslang, and then via Bellshill and Holytown avoiding signalling works at Motherwell. Termination at Carlisle due to engineering works between Carlisle and Lancaster.

On Platform 3 Class 170 451 forming the 1623 to Aberdeen, diverted via the West Coast Main Line (past Polmadie); Rutherglen and Coatbridge line (through Carmyle); ex-Caledonian Main Line (through Cumbernauld)  to join the ex-Scottish Central Railway at Greenhills Lower Junction and the regular route north. This is due to the ongoing work in Glasgow Queen Street station and the tunnel to Cowlairs.
