Bee on ceanothus

Looking for a blip in the garden when I spotted this busy little chap on a pollen hunt. In and out he was going with full pockets on his legs, I like the last one too with his wings in full flow.

Yesterday (Saturday) was a tidying up day as today we were having some friends over for a Belgian afternoon. We have known both sets of friends for about 20 years when we all got involved with the PTA at school. J and S we see quite a lot and go away with but I and S not so much.

Mr C has been collecting various types of Belgian beer over the year just to hold this type of occasion. We all started on some refreshing G & T's before the men started on their tour of Belgium. Cherry beer for the girls or prosecco. A meat feast cooked on the barbecue (the steak was a little over done ;-//). Followed by chocolate dipped strawberries and a cheese board with homemade bread...... And the weather was a lot warmer than forecast so we managed to sit outside for a while too.

Josh took Natalie over to France for the day. His first time at driving abroad and the plan was to visit Boulogne. Which they did but also Le Touquet and Montreuil sur mer.... I love it there! Well done to him!

Hope you are all enjoying your long weekend ;-))
