Carew Castle

Backblipped for 11th April

After a look around our basecamp of Haverfordwest (undergoing a yarnbombing) and the priory ruins we discovered a gem of a visit in Carew Castle, on the way to Tenby: first a splendid lunch in the Carew Inn, a look at the C14 cross (see extra), a thorough look at every spiral staircase and fine view in the castle itself then a walk down to the tide mill - which, disappointingly, was not a working mill but sold flour milled elsewhere, so added that to our list.

Then to Tenby itself - not on the beach but on the higher level from the esplanade to the lifeboat stations old and new and back round the harbour.
