Night Crossing II

Pedestrians crossing at the main intersection in our small downtown--on a typical Saturday night. Relatively cool, after a high close to 85 F (30 C); distinctly better than most of the last few weeks. Summer like this is very bearable.

"Night Crossing I" was last summer, taken from almost exactly the same spot.

Viewed large, you may note the inconspicuous sign "LOW UNDER PASS 11' AHEAD" in the upper left. Clearance under the railroad bridge is 11 feet (3.4 meters)-- not high for trucks; every so often trucks hit the bridge, sometimes violently (I have seen a jammed truck at least three times in the last nine years).
