First to Flower

We have a number of camellias in our garden. This, tree with its delicate pink flowers, is the first to flower this season. The flowers are about 2 inches, or 6 cms across....so dainty.
This morning I attended the funeral of one of my past political colleagues. Larry P and I met as Marlborough Hospital Board members way back in 1980. We also served together on the Marlborough District Council. I was very fond of Larry and held him in high regard. He has served our district so well in many different ways. RIP Larry.
